Novena to the Holy Spirit Day 2: Fear of the Lord

Presentation of the Virgin in the Temple and the Virgin of the Burning Bush
Russian, c1600
The Novena to the Holy Spirit is very ancient, so unsurprisingly there are a number of variations around of it.

The core element that seems common to most, though, is the prayer set for each day.  So here is Day 2's:

Come, O blessed Spirit of Holy Fear, penetrate my inmost heart, that I may set Thee, my Lord and God, before my face forever; help me to shun all things that can offend Thee, and make me worthy to appear before the pure eyes of Thy Divine Majesty in heaven, where Thou livest and reignest in the unity of the ever Blessed Trinity, God world without end. Amen.

To this you can add the Act of Consecration to the Holy Ghost and prayer for the seven gifts I posted for Day 1.

You should also recite one Our Father, one Hail Mary, and seven Glory Be's.
