"Life on earth, however good and desirable in itself, is not the final purpose for which man is created; it is only the way and the means to that attainment of truth and that love of goodness in which the full life of the soul consists." Leo XIII, Rerum Novarum
Ave, María, grátia plena,
Dóminus tecum.
Benedícta tu in muliéribus,
et benedíctus fructus ventris tui, Iesus.
Sancta María, Mater Dei,
ora pro nobis peccatóribus,
nunc et in hora mortis nostræ.
Amen.

Catholic Must-See of 2012?
His Em is getting on in years, obviously but I think all the good English food and vigourous weather of earlier Ballarat, must be standing him in good stead because we felt he handled the event very well - that odious Dawkins sniggering away because he considered His Em made a big slip when he said 'we were preparing some boys....' Honestly! Dawkins has the grandest house in Oxford with an 18 foot bay window and the works. 'Oxford grandee' does spring to mind. Why didn't he stick to zoology? I watched him teach and he was utterly brilliant - at giraffes.
