- Canadian Ordinariate - there have been assorted rumours about a stalling of progress in Canada (and by implication at least in Australia). Now the Delegate, Archbishop Collins has issued a statement on the way forward;
- our bishops have issued a media release to mark the one hundred and twentieth anniversary of Rerum Novarum, and the development of Catholic social teaching last Sunday;
- Australia's peak Muslim body has made a submission to the Government inquiry on multiculturalism advocating sharia law for Australia (yep, it is really true) - but a 'moderate variety', that is one that only disadvantages women in the area of divorce law and inheritance, just like in the UK...
