The other solution to the priest shortage: ex-Anglicans!

Yes, there is actually a ready source of priests available to help out dioceses who are running short of priests, and that is ex-Anglicans entering the new Ordinariate.

The Record reports that up to 60 priests, 30 from Australia and 30 from the Torres Strait, are set to be ordained by Pentecost.

And Bishop Eliot has been out spruiking the case for a little Tiber swimming to the hesitant....let's hope other bishops are out quietly doing a little one on one ecumenical dialoguing with the waverers.
