OK so I usually avoid acatholica unless desperate for light entertainment with a shock horror factor (they are quite good in terms of providing alerts to mainstream material of interest, if only in order to froth at the mouth at it, in between quaint paeans to congregationalism and other errors).
But I thought I would take a look and see why they thought the Vatican wikileaks were so significant (nope, still unenlightened), but came across this instead:
"John Shelby Spong is scheduled to talk on “Celebrating Post-Theistic Christian Faith” on Monday evening [13 December].
“A prolific and provocative author, Jack’s books have sold over a million copies.”
Born in 1931, he is a retired Bishop of the Episcopal [Anglican] Church in USA. He is a liberal Christian theologian, religion commentator and author. He calls for a fundamental re-thinking of Christian belief, away from THEISM and from traditional doctrines."
So in what sense can "post-theism" be described as 'Christian faith'?!
Yup, didn't thnk so....
