Thanks to Fr Z for alerting me to a great new Google tools - Latin translations and text to speech gadgets.
The Latin translation tool, like all these online translation tools is not perfect. But it's not terrible either.
Put in the first line of Psalm 1 for example, "Beatus vir qui non abiit in consilio impiorum et in via peccatorum non stetit, et in cathedra pestilentiae non sedit."
And you get back:
"Blessed is the man who hath not walked in the counsel of the ungodly and in the way of sinners, he did not stand, and in the chair of pestilence, nor sat."
The text to speech tool (via the 'listen' option) seems to use ecclesiastical pronunciation, so potentially very useful indeed!
