The Monastery of Norcia in Italy is one of my favourites - an American-Italian monastery, it is located at the birthplace of SS Benedict and Scholastica (which today is something of a gourmet paradise, being a centre of the black truffle trade!).


The Monastery is bi-ritual, with daily masses in both the EF and OF, and using the traditional Benedictine Office (and offering daily broadcasts of mass and Vespers online). It is a young community (an Australian traditionalist priest has a claim to being their first oblate I believe), and in the process of building a new monastery.

So nice to see another solemn profession for this rapidly growing community. And you can watch the whole ceremony online:
