Pray for our priests: Fr Michael Rowe

Today is the fifteenth anniversary of the ordination of the indefatigable Fr Michael Rowe, chaplain of Perth's Latin Mass community. Apart from his leadership of the Perth community, Fr Rowe has generously given his time to the Christus Rex pilgrimage, run annual retreats both in WA and NSW, and has led many other traddie activities around Australia.

Ad multos annos!

Please also remember in your prayers Bishop Aloysius Morgan, former Military Ordinary and a good friend to the Canberra TLM community, who died on this day last year, RIP.

The middle photo, BTW, is Fr Rowe elevating the Host at a Mass coram Sanctissimo - that is, celebrated before the Bl Sacrament exposed in the Monstrance (hence the exposition candelabra). This is done in Perth once a year at Corpus Christi. I attended one year: it's most impressive.

I remember him as a youthful seminarist in, of all places, Adelaide! Then as a naughty deacon at the Ecclesia Dei conference 1994. How time passes-he still looks the same.
